Rainbow Mountain Wildlife Sanctuary Needs Your Help

Hello, My name is Jeff Begeman and I have helped start, built, lived, and taken care of Rainbow Mountain Wildlife Sanctuary for the last 22 years. Rainbow Mountain Wildlife Sanctuary is a 97.6 acres of prime mountain land in the Blueridge Mountains in Nelson County in Virginia. We are dedicated to preserving the local wildlife and surrounding habitat as well as providing a place where people can come camp, and find spiritual enlightenment from the surrounding Sacred Mountain. We have turned a portion of the land which borders the North Fork of the Tye River into a small private campground to share with others, free of charge to any and all who wish to come and camp and enjoy the serenity and peacefulness of this sanctuary, as long as they can follow a few simple rules like no hunting or fishing and to clean up their site and respect the property as if it was their own. We are a non profit organization and have carried on with no financial help from or friends for the last 22 years. But due to the death of one of our dedicated founders, my mother Barbara bless her soul, a family dispute has risen up and threatened to destroy and end the hard work and years of dedication that the other members have striven and worked so hard for all these years. Now we are about to enter into a strenuous long court battle to try to save Rainbow Mountain Wildlife Sanctuary from the powers that threaten to end its existence. This court battle is going to put a big financial burden on the people who care enough to start, build and run the wildlife sanctuary. These people are simple people who live a simple life, living on practically nothing and donating their time and own finances to build and operate the Sanctuary while sharing the land and all they have with many others. Many have come here to camp, relax and enjoy, and even found some advice or spiritual enlightenment of some type here in its beauty and peaceful serenity, yet without ever being asked for any thing in return. But now that Rainbow Mountain Wildlife Sanctuary is under attack by a few board members who only have their own interest, powered by greed in mind, and wish to tear Rainbow Mountain apart. Now Rainbow Mountain is forced to take action to save this campground and the sanctuary land that surrounds it. As you know the expenses involved in court cases can run into the 10 to 20 thousands of dollars and we for the first time in Rainbow Mountain history are forced to ask our friends and neighbors for their help and support. This is hard for us to do, to ask or beg for money or assistance to help save Rainbow Mountain from this destruction, but under the circumstances, it is necessary to insure Rainbow Mountain will be here for all, and to carry on with the Rainbow Dream forever. It breaks my heart to have to ask all of you for your help, but I have no other choice. Many of our friends and neighbors have offered their help and assistance in the past few months and I have turned them down, but now I am left to ask for this help in order to keep Rainbow Mountain and its dream alive and growing. I am asking this of you and your friends, it is up to you to find it in your hearts to help me and Rainbow Mountain now in our time of need. Any donations will be used to fight the evil powers that wish to dissolve and destroy Rainbow Mountain. When the battle is over and the smoke clears and we are the victors, any donations left over after the legal fees are paid will be used to help Rainbow Mountain maintain and develop the dream. The dream of providing a safe haven for the birds, animals,fish,and trees, for you to come and enjoy, and for your children to run and frolic in and their children's children to enjoy. In these times of turmoil as the wild life and mountain land disappear due to "progress" I can only stress the importance of the need to preserve these gifts for our children.This is the dream we talk about, this is the dream that we are dedicated too. With your help the dream will continue to grow and touch and enlighten others, possible thousands of other people like you.
