the American Institute of Philanthropy has the HSUS on it's "Not So Great" list for philanthropic organizations.... Seems like they look in $69 millioin in revenue in 2000 and only spent $29 mil on programs. Of that, something like $9 mil was tied up in joint educational fundraising efforts and only $1.5 mil went directly to shelter or animal protection grants..... Rather pathetic for an organization woth $100 million I think.....
