So sorry for your loss. I'm sure Lamington knew he was loved. Maybe he chose you in the pet store to give him a loving home for the rest of his life on Earth. He's now at Rainbow Bridge and is happy. He wants you to know that he loves you very much and will always be in your heart.
:I got my dear hedgehog, Lamington, only a couple weeks ago.. but during that time I completely fell in love with him. He'd cuddle with me, ride around with me in my hoodie pouch.. he'd especially love the time just before I'd turn my light out at night, and he'd stand on his hind feet and scratch at the walls of his bed just so he could snuggle with me for just a little longer..
:The last couple days I realized my baby was very sick.. last night I held him in my hand and fed him with a syringe and he had barely the strength to move.. this morning I went to feed him and he looked up at me and started gasping for breath..
:I'm just a student, so I had to take the bus to the vet clinic. I wrapped him up in a towel and put him in my hoodie pouch and held him.. But I took a break at the bus exchange and held him, and he looked at me, and closed his eyes, and passed away in my hand..
:I learned that he was very sick.. even in the store when I first met him he wasn't well, but I didn't know that. My significant other hasn't been sensitive at all.. but he convinced the store to contact the breeder, and thus I'll be able to adopt one of Lamington's younger brothers froma new litter. But.. it's not him.
:I don't know. He's not a cat or a dog, and I hadn't known him for that long.. but I would have given anything to have made him well.. so.. I'm glad that he was warm and knew he was loved..
