:Paul, I'm sorry for your loss. I did add Cheech to the Bridge List on Monday.

:God speed Cheech. Hope your journey to Rainbow Bridge was a smooth one.

:I can't believe I'm writing this. Yesterday, our Austrailian Bearded Dragon, Cheech, passed away. He ate a Daffodil about a week ago, and was poisoned. We took him to the Vet Hospital, where they did everything they could for 2 days, but he didn't make it. It's really hard for me to explain what Cheech meant to me and my girlfriend. We had him for over 3 years, since he was just 4 weeks old. He lived with his sister, Lucia, and his step-brother, Booger, who is a Uromastyx lizard. Cheech was my rock. I looked to him for everything... he kept me on path. I held him every day of his life, and loved every second of it. Cheech would spend long, hot summer days here in Sacramento, just basking on the window, soaking the sun. He was the boss of our whole house. My girlfriend, Angie, would spoil him all the time. She took him with her in the car to go on rides, he loved it. Cheech would just stare out the sunroof, or get right up to the window and watch the traffic. On really hot days we would take him out to the poolside with us, with the radio and some drinks, and have a great day with him. He would chase our neighbor's pet bird, always wanting to get a feather in his mouth. Cheech enjoyed eating special food, too, especially when we hand-fed him. He would sit there for hours eating strands of cheese, jicama root, tomato, lettuce, top ramen, whatever we were eating, he ate too. Cheech would even spend the night with us in our room. Angie would make a soft little basket for him with blankets and pillows, and he would snuggle in and sleep at the foot of our bed. Cheech was the most heavily favored lizard we have, and now I see why.
::God needed Cheech right away. Cheech is now our little angel in heaven, making the days sunny and bright. I will never forget my little buddy, he was seriously the most important thing in my life. I feel like a big part of my soul was just snatched away... I never thought it would happen this way.
::If you're reading this out there, and you have a lizard too, please respond to this posting and tell me about your lizards, and what they mean to you. If you are a lizard-person like me, then you know how hard it is for people to understand how special they really are. I miss Cheech so much, it hurts me so bad. It hasn't even been a week, and I already miss him more than anything.
::Thanks for taking the time to read this, if you want to know more about Cheech, or want to see pictures, email me. His sister, Lucia, misses him so much, it makes me even sadder. I told her that she has a "free pass" for the rest of her life. Cheech is my little angel now, and I can't wait to see him again.
