I'm so sorry to hear of your loss. I don't care what kind of creature they are, they are our children. Our hurt is just as bad as when we lose a human child. Not knowing what was wrong probably makes it worse.

We are glad that you came to let us hold your hand and help you work through your sorrow.

:Its hard knowing exactly what to type.I feel like no matter what I say it wont be good enough for a child who meant so much. My dragons are my children whom I dedicatedly care for everyday. There are days when they are angels and days when they are hellians on 4 legs!Either way I wouldnt trade them in. I wouldnt leave them stranded nor would I mistreat them. I also could not let one suffer. There isnt anything I wouldnt do for them, as long as its in my power. Unfortunately though, there wasnt a thing I could have done for my Ariel, for whom I have so much sorrow. Please send your thoughts her way as she settles in her new place.

Home At Last
:The trees were blowing in the gentle breeze
:the sun was shining; thru the leaves on the trees
:The meadows are green; and the grass grows tall
:off in the distance; you can see a waterfall
:Over the falls; down through the creek
:the water flows gently; as a rabbit sneaks a peek
:Far up above; in the deep blue sky
:the birds soar high; as they fly by

:The animals play; at the bridge by the waterfall
:chasing each other; and just having a ball
:They play all day; from morning to night
:there's no more rain; just warm sunlight

:Off in the distance; the trumpets would blow
:all would look up; and notice a bright glow
:The harps would play; and the angels would sing
:as another pet has come home; who had earned his wings

:We are not sure exactly how or why Ariel became sick and right now its just to hard to try and think why. I just know that I did the right thing. She is not suffering and no longer in pain. I was there holding her little hand for her very last breath (not the anesthesizing part though, for legal reasons), just the euthanazia. I had to make sure she did not suffer. Thank you all for your support. We love you Ariel, my beautiful girl. February 2001-March 2003. LindsayMarie
