I'm so sorry for your loss. I'm sure he is greatful for both a good loving home and you being able to help him cross the bridge. It's one of the hardest things we have to do in life.
I personally have not experienced watching my furbabies have seizures. I'm sure it must be an awful thing to go through. Don't forget that you can join us in the nightly chats:

Eight years ago we got a four year old Labrador retriever from the humane society, as a present for my older sister. Less than a year later, my sister had to move to Hawaii because her husband was stationed there, and rather than put Garth in quarantine for six months, she gave him back to us. We've had him ever since.
:Three months ago, we noticed that one of his eyes looked infected. We took him to the vet, who said that he probably had something neurologic going on; either a brain tumor or something like that, that was putting pressure on his optic nerve. He wasn't in any pain, and so we decided that as long as he was doing fine we'd just let him keep going. He was so old we didn't want to try chemo or radiation or surgery, which may not help and which would just make him miserable.
:He did perfectly fine up until last night, when he had a sudden, massive seizure out of nowhere. We took him into the vet, and they said that it was probably a result of his tumor and to keep him comfortable. He seemed fine, so we brought him home to keep an eye on him. Less than an hour later he seized again, and over the next half hour seized a total of eight times. In between the seizures, he was whining in pain.
:So we brought him back to the vet. From the time we put him in the car until the time the vet gave him the final injection, he was stuck in one great big long seizure that just wouldn't let up. We had to let him go, but it was very hard to do. We're only grateful that he spent the last several months having a normal life, with a relatively quick end, than going into a long, miserable, slow decline.
:We're gonna miss him
