Small clubs used to be the milieu of concerts before someone got the idea of staging them at stadiums and the like. I spent many pleasureable nights at the Fillmore, the F-East, the Hungry i and clubs in Boston listening to music as disparate as Dylan, Grateful Dead, Bonnie Raitt, etc.

My sympathies to those who died or were injured in the fire and their loved ones.
