:I set CKs spirit free at eleven am today. I picked her up and carried her to the car and then into the vets office. I held her sweet face between my hands and kissed her the whole time..telling her how sorry I was and how much I loved her. I asked her to give Jake a kiss for me...and to tell him how much he still is a part of my heart. CK was a gentle old girl..who stayed with me for over a year after losing her brother Jake. She grieved and was still grieving for her loss. I pray she felt my love and knew I was doing this because it was time to end her grief and her physical pain. I could not have loved my girl more. I tried so hard to keep her pain free and up..but it was not to be. She could not even stand any longer and eat without me holding her up. She deserved to die with the dignity that she had graced my life with. Its so hard. I miss my old girl so much. God Speed baby girl. I will miss you forever. The memory that is etched in my heart will be of you and Jake kissing each other. I hope he was there to welcome you on your journey home. CK...you were and will always remain..my old sweet baby girl. I love you.
