::hello
::for my animal care class were gathering a listing of petshops that sell puppies, of those that do were trying to figure out how many are of puppy mills.
::so if any one has any information on the pet shops in Minnesota (and even the surrounding area) it would help the class a whole lot.

:Hi Ashley,
:In my opinion, ALL pet shops sell puppies from puppy mills. A responsible breeder wouldn't sell their puppies to a pet shop. Anyone wanting to get a puppy should go to the local rescue or to a responsible breeder where genetic defects and other potential problems are weened out of the bloodline. I have a puppy that i bought here in south Florida for $500.00. He was born in Missouri...Why would someone in Missouri ship tiny little puppies all the way to Florida to be sold? Had i known this i would never have bought from a pet store. I hope you spread the word that no one (especially around the holidays) should buy a puppy for a gift from a pet shop, or for themselves from a pet shop..This is the reason puppy mills are still in business. If people would just get the word out that puppies that are sold in pet shops come from puppy mills, they would be out of business, and a lot of puppies would be spared.
