Please let me know WHERE in the Northwest. I'm in the northwest, and I work in the legal community. Perhaps a few choice words to the right prosecutor?????

:There is a pet/feed store in walking distance from the vet hospital I work in. I am going to try to write this message to post without getting emotional and so angry I say things on a public forum that could cause me problems in the future. But this store has my back up something fierce and I absolutely despise the parasite that owns the place. So many puppies from this place that I've held in my arms while it died because this jackoff doesn't have the decency....see there I go...*deep breath*
:Let me try to do this in some sort of order. Where to start...
:Let's start with how my hospital got involved with this place to begin with.

:The doctor I work for went to meet the man that ran this feed/pet store. He offered to provide service to him at reduced rate. Looking over his litters of puppies and kittens, give them their first shots and deworming, and if he deemed them healthy signing a piece of paper that said so. In exchange he simply wanted the man to recommend us to the new owner. I don't know exactly why, but the man refused the offer. He preferred to drive 35-45 minutes to another town to see a different vet. We know the vet...he's in process of being shut down due to some ethical violations and other reasons...whole other story.
:Anyway...that's part 1.

:How I came to know about this man and his stores....
:My job as a vet tech includes the initial exam before the doctor comes in to do his...I get to ask the questions, go over the record, get a history, etc. A puppy that was a JRT mixed with Mini Schnauzer had a lump up on the back of its neck. It was a hard ugly lump. The lady said that the place she bought it from said it was from the vaccine. I looked at where it came from and it was from the place down the road...$395.00 for a mixed breed!!!!!! Oh my, yes, there was the reciept and I was standing there with my mouth open. I did my job and the doctor came in.
:I am in the back asking about this place and my co-workers give me the information above, plus some other not so nice things were said about the man.
:Fast Forward to the next week...I see the puppy again for a follow up appt. The owner informs me that she contacted the vet that signed the puppy's health papers...he never saw the pet, never gave it a vaccine, never laid eyes, hands or otherwise on the pup, he gets sent the papers, he signs them, the shop owner does the rest. Interesting.
:This shop always has a plethora of puppies, all breeds...the sign out front always has a COMING SOON announcement with 2-8 different breeds of dogs "on their way". Someone walks in, looks at a yorkie pup and he tells the prospective owner that he raised them himself, the parents are his own dogs. *Cough* He says this to EVERYONE concerning EVERY breed he sells. That's right, I hear it from every single new owner that brings in a pup from him. I've been in there 3 times myself, with my husband, and he tells us the same thing everytime we're in there pretending we're going to buy one of his $600.00 cocker spaniels or his $575.00 labrador retrievers or his $475.00 shih tzu-poodle crosses. That's right. My own two eyes.

:This past summer was a tragic summer. We saw so many golden retrievers come out of that place with parvo it was scary. But the story that sent me over the edge and determined to do something about this jackass.....is about a little, teeny, tiny undersized golden retriever girl that died a quiet, painless death in my hands while I weeped like a baby....after she was gone I raged like a madwoman and swore my vengeance on this piece of dirt. Now I just have to find legal means to do so.
:This little lady came in with her attentive owner no bigger than a 3 week old puppy. The puppy was lethargic, had diarrhea, wasn't eating, and was dehydrated. The owner explained that she bought it yesterday at the place up the road. I looked at the record...yep there was the "health" certificate, which is part of the reciept...she bought the little girl for $100.00 Hmm..odd he seldom lets anything out of his store for less than $300.00
:We worked with the little gal for a day or two, I think she had come in on a Wednesday. The owner did everything she could, staying up late at night to care for this little angel, feeding it, giving it love and warmth. One of the things we did was give it fluids. Our relief vet came in on Friday and when the little girl...by now her name was Sally...came in we noticed that the skin on her abdomen was very papery...and there were fluids under it!!! That's not good. The relief vet looked Sally over...and she just shook her head. She said this poor thing probably had so many birth defects it wasn't even funny...water on the brain was one of them....she was right, we hadn't noticed how large her skull was. She couldn't absorb the fluids that we had given her either. O my.
:The vet talked to the owner...and the owner told her how the pet store guy had told her that Sally was just the runt of the litter, that there wasn't anything wrong with her and she just had diarrhea because of the "special food" they give all their pups. After she and the vet talked they decided to let poor Sally go...it really was for the best...the little sweetie was just not going to make it. She could either die this slow tortuous death or we could help her. I held Sally in my hands, she was that tiny...and supposedly 8 weeks old! Such a small thing. She blinked at me and yawned her precious yawn. I looked at her and knew that her life was short no matter what we did. I felt her ask to go, that she just wanted to try again...later.
:I wouldn't let my coworkers inject her with the "sleepaway", I did it. I did it intraperiotneally (IP). It is one of the gentlest ways for small critters to crossover. I held her close and felt the life slip out of my hands. I've had to PTS many pets and none made tears slide down my face and sounds of agony come from my throat...but Sally did. I never hated anyone so much at that moment as I did THAT MAN. He would pay for this life. He knew she was sick!!!!! I just know it. He doesn't sell puppies for $100 NEVER. He knew she was sick, he KNEW IT.

:After Sally a few more cases had come through our doors...some of them simply WellPet exams....a few parvo cases. Just this week was a silky terrier pup that came in from that evolving door of hell...the owner intends to breed of course. Great.
:Oh yes...and the parents of the pup belong to the shop owner.

:After Sally it finally dawned on me. This guy probably runs a puppy mill. This town is in the sticks...it's a small town... lots of wooded area. If he isn't running the puppy mill then he's probably in a partnership with one...or he's simply a broker...either way. Him and the other feed/pet store that is about 40 miles away are more than likely working together somehow. Hard to say if they're in it together but it's a thought.
:We've also found out that this guy is offering medical advice to owners. That's a big fat no-no.
:So what do I do...how do I get authorities involved and to take this serious. Everytime this guy gets investigated NOTHING HAPPENS. He just keeps on his merry way.
:This guy is a beast...he needs to be stopped.
:His constant flow of puppies is amazing.
:Why would anyone pay hundreds of dollars for a mixed breed puppy?
:Anyway...should I try to investigate where the mill is? I need some help...I want to shut this guy's pet operation DOWN.
:Thanks for listening...
