A woman in Eastern Oregon is in jail for keeping over 500 dogs in filthy conditions. Most of the dogs were penned up and wading around in mud and feces. The dogs have been rounded up and taken to a building in Fruitland Idaho and voluteers have been pouring in with donations of food (one local feed manufacture donated 1000 lbs), shampoo, blankets, clippers and warm bodies to help bathe and clip the dogs. So far at least 150 of them have had to be put down due to health reasons. If you know of anyone in this area who can help, or if you want to make a donation you can call Payette Second Chance Shelter at (208)642-2790. I personally would like to lock this woman up outside in the mud and muck as this isn't the first time for her. She had been in trouble in Idaho for the same thing back in 96. She had 300 dogs then.
