:::An ad for a sandwich chain that showed a man so obsessed with the sandwiches that he let his pet budgie starve to death in its cage has bird organizations up in arms.

::I missed this one...kinda glad I did. It seems like that all the ads are uproaring some people one way or another. One that came to mind was a budlight commercial that had two woman fighting in it, ripping there clothes off. Watching the news after showed woman right groups in an uproar. I do have to admit some of them are very humorous.

:Unfortunately, Quiznos is under the (misguided) impression that the death of an animal due to neglect is humerous, or so they said in the reply to my original comment. In addition, it is apparently just fine and dandy to portray the death of an animal due to neglect if said animal is only a stuffed prop.
:Luckily for animals in general, in the case of the Quiznos ad, specifically a budgie, many other people do not share their opinion.
:Budgie
Wow!! That just burns me...for companies to assume that if "no animal is hurt in the process" and a prop is used then it's OK. People amaze me with their "still living in their Neanderthal life" and place the value of living things.
