We popped into the vets (traditional one rather than homeopathic) yesterday for a routine visit and the vet also checked his back as he's been a bit tender in the lower region - although no movement difficulties (well, no worse anyway!). Anyway, she thinks that he might be developing more spurs on his spine :( not good at all. However, as he wasn't having any movement difficulties she suggested we not pump any more drugs into his body but that I should keep to the homeopathic for now (and she's a normal traditional vet!). Not good news, but if it doesn't get better with rest and his usual remedies I'll get the homeopathic vet back out. GRR.. but we will get through this.. but I couldn't bear for his lower back to get bad as well (at diagnosis he only had minor spurs just where the ribs stop). Poor old dog - he had a night of having a bad tummy (had them irregularly since he was a pup), then the next day he gets his anal glands extracted (another regular event - and so undignified!) and today he's due for worming - and I have to start back with the remedies (he hates the taste!)... Poor little boy!
Netti - he was feeling sorry for himself this morning so I told him about Jazmin (yes I am mad and have conversations with my dog). I said I know its not fair but there is a girl doggy on the other side of the world who doesn't have it fair either.....
