I am not sure if any of you will remember Oscar. He is the TOM cat that has hung around for three years now. Oscar comes and goes. Sometimes I do not see him for weeks. But eventually he shows up. I have always wanted to catch him and get him nutered and vaccinated...but everytime he shows up...its is usually late at night or right before I go to work. Any how...Oscar showed up two days ago. Something told me that he just wasn't himself. I kept my eye on him...and he just was not acting like Oscar. So I took him to the vets today. I left work early in hopes I could find him and I did. He has a terrible ear infection. We are concerned that he may have Feline leukemia. The test they ran was inconclusive. Not really positive but not negative either. So....we gave him rabies vaccination and he is on antibiotics and ear drops. When he is better...I will try my best to get him back and get him vaccinated for Feline leukemia. She said not to today because it might put to much stress on him and until we could say for sure he is negative it would not be a good idea. So please pray that Oscar improves...and that he is negative. He is such a sweet loving cat. Thank goodness all my cats have been vaccinated. I have him shut in the garage for now..so I can give him his antibiotics and ear drops. He already acts like he feels better. But she did give him a shot for the pain from his ear. So please pray for sweet Oscar Kitty. If he is negative...he will be added to the tribe. I just can't stand to see any animal suffer...but I am getting over whelmed with all the strays that are dumped by me. Glows and prayers for Oscar kitty please.
