Why are grapes good for dogs? Raisins aren't coz I read in a doggie magazine a dog died after eating alot of them, they swelled in his stomach and caused renal failure.

Jazmin is driving me barmy. I thought once she got off the lead again and running she would settle a bit but she so isn't. I would say she's worse now than before she was spayed so I know it's definitely her trying to be alpha now. I've been extra strict with her and they do say they get worse before they get better so I'm hoping we'll turn the corner some time soon. See what her behaviorist has to say anyway. Ahhhhh peace at last, she's conked out! Snoring sounds good sometimes!

I'm actually looking into tracker training for her, coz using her nose shouldn't hurt her hips! I also looked at carting as from what I've read any dog can do it, you just adjust the weight and things to suit what they can manage but I'm not sure that's really her thing. I don't know if it would stimulate her mind enough or if you need a very patient dog to do it. Plus if she decides she hates it, it's expensive! I just get the vibe off her that she needs to work but is bored with plain old obediance. I actually think she would make a great police dog were it not for her hips. I have almost definitely decided that she should have surgery in a year or so, once I'm sure she's stopped growing coz she just wants to do so much and can't with her hips the way they are. I'm hoping the vet will agree to total replacement of both hips, the only thing that worries me is the period of restricted exercise and she's be gone for 2 days, and it's gonna be double coz you need to wait at least 2 months between surgeries. I was bad enough not having her around for 6 hours!
