I've been reading an interesting book on herbal stuff... says comfrey is good for hip dysplasia (and arthritis too - along with parsley which I have growing in the garden and now goes in his dinner every night).

Another hint, my homeopathic vet gave me some good advice on the exercise issue - my dog went absolutely barmy when he was allowed little or no exercise - she said - take him to his favourite place when its quiet and let him sniff - will do him better (mentally at least) then a walk in boring surrounds. And it did, really perked him up. I took him to his favourite doggy park so he got to smell all the other dogs - but I went when barely no-one was there so he wouldn't get excitable.

Yeah, slightly better last night... he still goes to play though - and then hurts himself and comes to me all sooky!
