some days just aren't the best...

I had my own rotten weekend.
Flute, my boy, is in pain again. He yelped in agony as he got off the couch last night and couldn't walk properly. I gave him some Hypericum (his homeopathic remedy for pain relief). He had a very uncomfortable night - but that is good in a way as it probably means the remedy was working (get worse before it gets better). He had to be close to me all night - and hardly slept (me neither!).But he did seem better this morning. I'm hoping a few days of rest and the remedy will help him out. Just as I thought we were getting somewhere! But I think that is it... he gets better and both he and I forget he is sick and push those boundaries too far. I hate seeing him in pain - its unfair and you can't tell dogs its going to get better. He looks at me as if to say "it hurts, make it go away". I guess you all know that look. But, I'm sure that if I can make him rest he'll get there.... at least he had a great fun day yesterday before the pain set in. I think he must have done something last week when leaping around the backyard like an idiot.... can someone tell my dog he's got an arthritic spine!!!! Oh well...
Hope your animals are doing better...
And Netti - how dare you say you'll get a cat next time!!!!!! Dogs are much better :)
