Well thanks for the compliment, she is still a little out of it today and got stuck upstairs! Every time she took a step down she was pulling on her stitches and didn't want to move. Eventually got her down with painkillers and sausage! Didn't want to pick her up and carry her either, in case I damaged the wound. She's eating again but seems to still feel a little sick, poor girl.
I am actually trying to look into those working trials they do for gundogs and other working dogs as I don't think that would put so much of a strain on her hips. Going to be another week at least tho, before she's back to her old self, and then I'll need to wait and see if it was just her hormones and sore hips that was making her snappy. If not we'll need to get over that hurdle first. Oh the joys of owning a dog! I think I'll get a cat next time, see if they're any easier!
Praise the man who invented those lampshade collars to stop dogs chewing their stitches too!
