Oh my, I'm so sorry to hear of this problem. I am not a vet, but it can't hurt to try to find an ortho specialist for a second opinion.

I think I wouldn't give up on Chewy just yet. There may be more that can be done. Keep us posted.

weve just got back from the vets with chewy and his lower spine is starting to fuse together he already has got a lot of excess
:bone and the vet has said there is no cure or any way of stopping it i,ve had a look for info and it sounds like he has spondylosdis,he is now on prednoleucotropin and we have been told he will be on it till it no longer works and he will then have to be put to sleep.doe's any one have any other suggestions of what else might help him . chewy is a 8 year old boxer and up till 2 weeks ago was running jumping swimming and enjoying life to the full.the medication that he is on has taken the pain away but the vet has said no more running jumping and i don't think he can really swim in the sea because its so cold.so now all he can have is long walks on the lead
