I found a tiny baby opposum wandering alone and took him home.He had a broken hind leg.The leg was broken off with the bone sticking out.I fed him on kitten formula and kept his leg clean and used antiseptic cream.I let him stay wild and not make a pet of him.His leg healed nicely and the skin grew over the bone,he was feeding great and had good weight. When he was about nine inches head to hind end and getting around good,I returned him to the woods.I've been putting food out about twice a week and the last feeding is always gone.Should I continue to put out food or will he become too dependent on it?He has been on his own about three weeks.
