I found a dog chewing on the shell of a box turtle last Tuesday. I have taken it to the vet twice but could not answer my queastion. I am keeping it until its shell is better (applying betadine) but I need to know how long it can go without eating or drinking. I haven't seen it do either. I want it to be healed but I don't want it to starve! Please help!
