I hate to have to post these kind of posts, but what you did was illegal. Unless you are a permitted rehabber, it is illegal in the United States to keep or rehabilitate all native mammals and birds without a permit other than a few species of rabbits, sparrows, pigeons, and starlings. Keeping or rehabilitating of deer, squirrels, opossums, blue jays, crows, ect. is only meant to be done by a licensed rehabilitator.
