A bat had flown too low over a truck and impaled itself on the antenna.The loose skin on it's hind end had been peirced by the antenna and in it's struggle the bat had slid to the base.The guys at work thought it was funny and were going to kill it with a stick.I gently grasped him behind the neck and supporting the hind end lifted him off the antenna.His wings were unharmed so I released him and he flew off.It was dawn so I could see him fly,I was amazed at how fast a bat could fly.He was out of sight in seconds.
