October is National Adopt a Shelter Dog Month!

Well..here goes the story. I got an email from Rios breeder. It seems his sister was sold to a lady who never picked her up. Now she is a year old and they are wanting to find her a good home. They of course..(Now Jake and CK had to have a hand in this one) thought of me and how happy Rios sister would be to be with her brother again. She is a red merle with blue in her eyes. She sounds beautiful. I am not sure she has had much socialization though. Much like Rio was when I got him. She will need work and alot of love. Ok...here is my problem. Sophie has not even taken to Rio yet. I am worried what she may feel if I bring another goof ball into the house. I still have to put up the baby gate to keep them seperated when I am gone from the home. I want so much to say yes...and bring Rios sister home to live here. But ..my mind says I have enough to deal with already. So many things to think about. I think Jake and CK were up there going...hey...mom needs another brother and sister to watch grow up together. Only problem...there will never be two dogs like Jake and CK again. I miss them so much. I do think they are up there making plans for mom though.
