:Hello,
:It's me again. I don't know if it is stages that some people go through but I now have guilt that I should have been able to save Charlie. Just all these thoughts go into my head. I wake up all times of the night wondering was he choking and I could have saved him, was it the arthitis medication, etc...
:It's been 2-1/2 weeks now. I don't cry everyday which makes me feel so guilty. I went and got my hair cut and I cried all night because I felt guilty (like i was moving on).
:I think that posting on this site has helped me though. Everyone's kind words has made it a little easier. Thank you for your kind words.
:Kim
Kim,
I too had feeling of guilt when I had to put my bearded dragon to sleep. She was sick the entire time I had her. The vet and I did everytrhing humanly possible to find out her problem. When we did it was devestating, reptile diabetes. I could not see me drawing bllod every day to gauge how much insulin to give her, She would start to cringe whenever I would come to do the blood stick, and that was unacceptable. She is now well and playing in the meadows that are around the bridge. Another miracle occurred last Wednesday. I had one egg incubating and it hatched out, I named him/her Miracle. The little one is doing well and he will be placed with some other babies a friend has so he will grow up with siblings.God grant you peace my friend.
