I can honestly say I know just how you feel. I have never felt such deep sadness and lonliness as I did when I lost my dog samantha. I am really hoping that when you pick up the ashes today you will feel as I did, that i was bringing her home again and it gave me such great comfort to have her in the house again. I couldn't go on longer than a week and I went to the city pound and was chosen to by Jack to be his "mom". I have never forgotten Sam and still have her ashes in my room, its been over 2 years now but I am so thankful that I have Jack as he does ease the pain.
