So I take it that you checked the Lost/Found that I put the link to and that wasn't it? Sorry.
You have to keep positive thoughts, you just have to!! Even if he doesn't come home, continue to believe that some selfish person has taken him in and doesn't intend to let him go.
One other thing. You might want to email or fax all of the vet offices in your surrounding areas. If someone would need to take him to a vet, it may trigger a response.
Sending warm thoughts and healing glow your way.

I APRECIATE THE THOUGHTS, BUT I'M REALLY NOT SURE HE'S ALIVE ANYMORE. I HAVE PUT ADS IN THE PAPER, POSTED ON EVERY ONLINE LOST AND FOUND SITE I'VE FOUND, ANSWERED EVERY AD THAT COULD EVEN REMOTELY BE HIM, AND IT NEVER WAS, OF COURSE. HIS CAGE HAS BEEN HANGING OUTSIDE SINCE THE DAY HE LEFT, WITH FRESH FOOD AND WATER EVERYDAY. IT WAS COLD ON THE DAY HE LEFT AND THE DAYS FOLLOWING, AND I'M SO AFRAID HE FROZE TO DEATH. IF SOMEONE FOUND HIM, THEY ARE HIDING HIM, THERE'S NO WAY THEY'RE LOOKING FOR THE OWNER AND NOT FOUND ME WITH ALL I'VE DONE. AND I JUST CAN'T BELIEVE SOMEONE WOULD DO THAT, BE SO CRUEL AND COLD-HEARTED. I CAN SEE SOMEONE FALLING IN LOVE WITH HIM EASILY, HOW COULD YOU NOT? BUT TO NOT RESPOND TO ADS OR EVEN TRY TO FIND THE OWNER IS JUST BEYOND ME. AS FAR AS THE HOMING INSTINCT, THAT'S WHAT I ALWAYS BELIEVED TOO. BUT I'VE READ A LOT ON IT, AND THERE ARE CERTAIN BIRDS, INCLUDING COCKATIELS AND PARAKEETS THAT ARE NOMADIC BIRDS AND DON'T HAVE HOMING INSTINCTS AND IT'S BASICALLY IMPOSSIBLE FOR THEM TO FIND THEIR WAY BACK HOME. I FEEL LIKE OF COURSE IT'D BE MY LUCK THAT I'D HAVE A BIRD THAT DIDN'T HAVE HOMING INSTINCTS. ANYWAY, SORRY TO SOUND SO DOWN, BUT I'VE TRIED EVERYTHING POSSIBLE AND IT ISN'T WORKING. I WON'T GIVE UP HOPE THOUGH BECAUSE IF I HAVE TO ACCEPT THE FACT THAT I LET HIM DIE, I THINK I'LL DIE ALONG WITH HIM.
:
::I seem to be having computer problems - sorry for the erroneous posts.
::I am sorry to hear of your bird missing. It's very difficult to become so attached and then lose them. The lack of a support system makes it even more difficult. I do hope that you find friends here that can be supportive for you.
::Be sure to leave Prince's cage w/food and water outside for him. There is still the possiblity that he could come back. I don't know a lot about birds, but they have to have some in born homing system, I don't think it's only something that pigeons and migrating birds have.
::Check all online lost/found sites you can find. Many of the online animal sites have them. PetFinders.com & CritterConnection both do.
::Also since I don't know where you are located, you might want to check this out: Lost/Found
::I do hope Prince returns.
