You have a kind heart for even caring in the first place. She hasn't gone anywhere. She is still there. If they won't let you have her, then get someone to go adopt her for you. These are true feelings, especially if you don't have these regrets with any of the other kitties. Go rescue her and be her mommy again. Good luck!
