Puppy had bloody diarrhea

This afternoon, my lab puppy had bloody diarrhea. My husband and I are debating over whether to take her to the vet (I'm in favor). Candy had diarrhea again this afternoon that wasn't bloody, however.

She's been getting into the wood pile chewing on pieces of bark. Could wood splinters be causing bleeding, and if so, how serious is this?

When we first brought her home a couple weeks ago, she had diarrhea, congestion, and a bad cough. The vet treated her for all of that, including worms. She came back negative for parvo virus, and we opted not to test her further. We took her home, medicated her, and she stayed healthy for a week straight. Today, though, is the first lapse in her health.

Candy (the puppy, 13 weeks old BTW) has no other symptoms. She's still running and playing like normal. While I was typing this, she had diarrhea again, and it had no blood in it. I just got worried that she was reacting to her recent vaccination (distemper/parvo), or that she had something serious. Should I simply watch Candy and take her in if things don't improve?

Thanks in advance for any suggestions,

Nikki
