:My daughter has had 2 turtles, red earred sliders for a few months now, one has grown at a regular rate while the other has not grown at all. The little one has slits for her eyes, we have never seen any eyes on her, her shell is geting soft, iv'e told my daughter to take her to the vet, but is there any thing I could do for her at home. shes the size of a quarter. I have worked only with dogs and cats, don't know alot about turtles.

While RES are out of my range of knowledge, I would 1) strongly suggest a vet appointment with a fecal exam and 2) check with the people over in the RES forum at kingsnake.
