Hi,
My family recently bought a golden retriever puppy at the end of March. She's about 13 weeks now, and as much as we love her, we have some concerns.
She has a large biting problem, not really biting THNIGS, just people. We play with her, and pet her, and she'll be ok, and then all of a sudden, she'll go crazy and start "attacking" you, biting feet, and ankles, and clothing. It's becoming a large problem.
We've tried spraying water on her nose, but she started liking the water.
We've tried the vet's suggestion of grabbing her lower jaw under her chin and gently shaking as we firmly said NO,
And we've tried firmly saying NO, and walking away, but none of it is working.
Now we have to put her out on her cord so she can run around outside because she's hurting people.
We walk her twice a day, feed her correctly, and play with her all the time, but nothing's working.
Is this normal? All we've heard is how calm and gentle goldens are, yet our's isn't! What can we do to stop this? Can it be stopped? Will it ever stop on it's own?
Thanks,
Kyle
