The first thing I would do is consult with your vet to make sure there isn't any underlying medical issue going on that has caused this behavioral change.

That being said .....

I noticed that you phrased your post "our family was found by...". From that I am going to assume that your pup came from the pound or an unknown source. IF that is the case, remembering that you have no history prior to her joining your family, keep in mind that prior experiences can and will affect your dog's behavior. Also, be mindful of what has been going on in your home environment, even a small change can sometimes affect an animal's behavior.

If the vet can't find anything wrong and you don't feel you can handle the problem on your own, consider consulting a pet behaviorist or dog trainer.
