Please talk to your vet. Letting our babies go is hard enough..without us literally having to do the job. You do not know what might happen if you gave him an over dose of insulin. He could suffer terribly...even have seizures. Talk to your vet. My vet would come to the house if I asked her to. In situations like yours..many..many will do this. My heart is with you. I understand about the not being able to get up on their own again. I lost two this year because of arthritis and both of them lost the ability to stand and walk on their own. Jake was well over a hundred pounds. To make sure I had done all I could for him..I took him to the emergency vet. Friends of mine helped me carry him to the car and into the clinic. With no hope of recovery...I had to let him go with the dignity that he deserved. Our babies deserve the best from us; during their entire life..and yes..even at the end. For your sake and your babys sake...please consult your vet and see if there are other alternatives. My heart and prayers are with you.
Pat and the tribe..
Jake,CK,Sadie and Beaus spirits in my heart forever..
