I'm so sorry you are facing this with your Lacey. She knows you love her, she knows you appreciate her and yes she knows you will miss her terribly. Why? How? Because it's mutual. Because when you touch her she feels your love. When you look into her eyes, she sees your love.

She has been happy to give you her love unconditionally. It's obvious from your posting, from looking at her picture.

Enjoy your time together. Take pictures, write down little anticdotes. Make some stepping stones for your garden using her little paw to make prints. Use some nontoxic white paint and put her print on a stained, laquered board along with a picture, decoupage it and save it as a reminder for your family of the love you shared. Make the most of this time together.

What a sweet looking girl your Lacey is. I can tell by your post that you are hurting over the thought of losing Lacey. My heart and prayers go out to you. Losing a part of our hearts is never easy and saying goodbye to old friends that have loved us..protected us and given us unconditional love is the hardest part of having these beautiful souls in our lives. They enrich our lives, and give us so very much. Lacey can still hear you..for she hears your heart and feels the love in your soul. Never doubt that she knows and feels that love. Hug her close to your heart for me...and speak to her in the language she has known from you all her life. Believe me...she will hear you. I am sending your Lacey lots of healing glow. Please let us know how she is doing and how you and your family are coping. Remember..you are not alone. Many of us have had to face what you are now going through. It breaks my heart to think of another person feeling the pain that I know you are feeling. Lacey will always be a part of your heart. Cherrish the time you have with her and give her all the love and time you have. Again...I am so sorry you and Lacey are facing this...but at least she has your love and that means so very much.
