This picture of Lacey was taken in January. She is almost 12 years old. The bandage was covering what we thought was just an infected toe. We just found out that it is a tumor, and she has a couple of other tumors on her, as well as several in her lungs (metastatic neoplasia). It is not treatable. The vet said she has 1-2 months left to live. We don't want her to suffer. She has been such a good dog. Whenever my husband would go for days on a commercial snapper boat, he would feel better knowing that she was here watching out for us. We are going to miss her terribly. She is like one of the kids. We knew her time was getting close. I will keep you posted.

She has recently gone deaf. It is hard to try telling her we love her and we are sorry, knowing that she can't hear us.
