When purchasing this 2 yr old female, I had thought I had done extensive research about the breed before buying it. When I asked the pet shop owner about hibernating the tortoise his reply was "I personally own 3 tortoises and I never hibernate them". Recently, I reread of the importance of hibernating. Now I'm confused and a bit nervous. Do I or don't I and if I do then which method is the safest and easiest way for the beginner to hibernate a tortoise? I realize I missed one season... but what next?
