Hi. I recently got a lavendar albino kingsnake. I never owned a snake before and was wondering if there's anything I need to know besides what the pet store told me, which is:

Keep him (her? LOL) in an aquarium bedded with Cypress Mulch, one 'under the tank' heater at one end over head blue daylight bulb on top of the screen roof at the other end. Feed him one 'pinkie' mouse a week (and eventually a full grown mouse). I have a bowl of water in there as well.

Also, I like handling him, and he has not bitten me or anything. Do they bite or not-bite alot as a species, or does it depend on the individual snake?

Any help or answers to my questions would br greatly appreciated.
