Hi Val!!
I couldn't agree with you more on the situation. People need to get more involved, not just with there particuliar breed but with all breeds. This will effect everyone someday, if we continue to allow it. I too wish there was more posts...let's get this board rocking and rolling.

:Breed Specific Legistation are serious events. They effect the future of canines of ALL BREEDS. I just found this forum and I'm amazed that there aren't more posts!!! What bothers me the most is that so many think that this subject doesn't involve them. BUT IT DOES!
:Just because your dog isn't threatened by BSL's doesn't mean that someday it won't. Yes, even your little poodle or Shih Tzu. Once BSL's take hold then there are no breeds that are safe! Why is this so hard to comprehend? Is it because it's only the larger, more muscular dogs that get called to task? Is it because those specific breeds are mishandled, mistrained and owned by irresponsible, self serving, "criminals"?
:That's not the way it is. Even if you're just Joe/Josephine Schmoe and you adore a certain breed that *JUST HAPPENS TO BE A POPULAR DRUG DEALER BREED* you're not going to be exempt from the law! It will touch YOU.
:It is up to us...the little guys...the average canine owner..to stop this kind of thing from spreading like the disease that it is. Whenever you get the chance....whenever you're made aware of an ongoing push to get a specific breed banned somewhere make it loud and clear to our lawmakers that we don't want the breed outlawed...that we want to PUNISH THE DEED NOT THE BREED!!!!!!!!!! And we all should know by now that it's not the canine...it's the HUMAN!!!
:Shout now...punish the deed not the breed...because someday it may be YOUR beloved pet that becomes the outlaw!!!
:Keep Informed!!!!! It's your responsibility and it's your dog's life at stake
